Welcome to my first blog as the "returned" Chairman of the Canadian Public Affairs Consulting Group (CPA).
After two years of stepping out of my private sector life to take on the responsibility of the Commission General of the United Nation's World Urban Forum 3 (WUF3), I have returned to private practice with a new outlook and hundreds of new friends from around the world.
Through this blog, I hope to share our new global perspective, new alliances and projects that we will be undertaking over the months ahead.
I also hope to use this forum to interconnect the many colleagues I have met, and to report and share our ongoing initiatives to move our ideas on urban sustainability into actions.
June 6, 2007, I will be speaking at the Gaining Ground Summit in Victoria, BC. I am most interested in meeting at the event, a delegation of 15 Chinese officials, some of whom represent the planning organization for WUF 4 in Nanjing and the National Training Center for Mayors in Beijing.
